There's a long tradition of community service at Unity Church of Hawai`i. Our latest project, Ho`opono is rooted in a vision of Senior Minister Sky St. John, and aligned with the goals of Unity's Strategic Plan.
Each week, volunteers prepare, transport, and serve 150 meals to the homeless at Waikiki Beach. The project is highly efficient, with maximum impact for minimum resources. It costs less than $1.50 for each meal served, and it is funded by contributions designated to the Ho`opono Project. We are grateful to those who are supporting the project by giving just a dollar or two each week. We appreciate the corps of volunteers who work tirelessly each week in service of those who rely on us. If you'd like to donate or volunteer, please contact the church office at 735-4436, or by email (click to send a message). Watch Rev. Sky explains the Ho`opono project (from the November 23, 2008 service): We see you're using an older version of Adobe Flash Player. You'll need to update it to watch this video.
